The Engineering division of Carver Aviation has a team of DGCA qualified and Experienced Engineering personnel who have undergone Factory approved training on the Aircraft operated by us. They also have intensive Shop maintenance Experience on different types of Aircraft.
The Safety and Airworthiness of Aircraft is of paramount importance and all the rules and dictats of the Civil Aviation Requirements and the DGCA are strictly adhered to.

The Engineering Team is a cohesion of young, dynamic individuals. ACAPL undertakes all its maintenance in accordance with CAR M. Mr. Amir Hussain is the Quality Manager (QM). He brings with him a wealth of experience due to his former association with Jet Airways. Mr. Jibran Abbas is the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) and he has the arduous task of heading the document intensive CAMO. Mr. Naim Raza, who is aptly qualified, is the Maintenance Manager (MM) and he controls the discharge of daily engineering functions. The team is supported by a young, dedicated, experienced and hard working technically qualified support staff.

The Engineering Division of Carver Aviation has a well established setup for Base/Line/shop maintenance of Mechanical and Avionics Divisions of Single Engine/Multi Engine (Piston) Aircraft.

As a leading player in General Aviation, Carver Aviation has the capability to offer the following services to individual owners of aircraft as well as companies desirous of availing these facilities.

 

Line Maintenance

This division is made up of a dedicated team of DGCA approved and qualified A& P and Avionics Maintenance Personnel.The unit handles scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance activities of our aircrafts. These schedules include Daily Inspection prior to flight, transit Checks, Check II, Check III, Check IV, AD/SB incorporation et al. Our personnel regularly undergo recurrent training to keep them abreast of the latest technologies in the Aviation Maintenance Industry.

MRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul)

Carver Aviation has built up an MRO within a 6400 Sqft area which comprises the following shops in Baramati:

Component Maintenance Division

The Component Overhaul Division deals with the overhauling of various Airframe related components such as Brake Master Cylinder, Brake Housing, shimmy Damper, Nose Oleo etc.

 

Aero Engine Overhaul Division

Carver Aviation offers near-comprehensive services for a wide variety of aircraft Piston engines. Our technicians are experienced professionals, and are equipped with the training, tooling, documentation, and support to resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently. All Overhauled Engines meet DGCA certifications and are warranted.
Mr. MKS KHAN, QCM/Chief Engineer has over 40 years experience in the aircraft engine overhaul industry. Mr. A. Naim Raza, Dy.QCM has over 20 years aircraft industry experience.
They are joined by a staff of 10 employees who have over 80 years of combined aircraft engine overhaul experience.

Overhauls and repairs are completed in our "state-of-the-art" 5000 square foot facility. All engines are test run to meet the manufacturer's requirements and specifications. We also provide engine core exchange facilities. This limits aircraft downtime and is financially beneficial to the client.

Our scope of approval for the Engine Overhauling covers the Avco-Lycoming family of Engines i.e. 0-235, O-320 and IO-360.

Steady progress has been made to inaugurate the very first facility for Rotax Engine Overhaul in India. This facility will be set up in concert with Flight Design of Germany and will incorporate the manufacturers’ recommendations and tooling. This will enable us to give the client unfettered service and unbridled quality for the overhaul of Rotax engines.

 
Electrical Overhaul Division

ACAPL’s Electrical overhaul division is approved by DGCA to conduct the Overhauling of the Electrical Equipments fitted on Light Aircrafts. We undertake the overhauling of our own electrical components and that of other operators as well. Genuine Spares, directly ordered from the OEM, are used for the overhauling.

At present we undertake the overhauling/Repair of the following electrical components

1. Alternators
2. Starter Generators
3. Magnetos
4. Flap motors
5. Ignition Harness
6. Battery Contractor
7. Starter Contractor
8. ACU
The shop has individual Test Benches for each of these Equipments.
 

Non Destructive Testing Shop

ACAPL has a Non Destructive Testing (NDT shop) which is approved by DGCA to carry out Magnaflux Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection & Eddy Current for various Aircraft Components. In the near future Ultra sonic inspection will be added to our capability list.
Mr. A.Naim Raza (MM) is authorized by DGCA to undertake all types of NDT inspection.
 
The Scope of Approval for the NDT Facilities are:
1. Magna Flux Inspection of Aircraft/Engine Parts.
2. 1000 Hrs Inspection of McCauley Fixed Pitch Propellers.
3. Eddy Current Inspection of Various Aircraft Parts.
4. Dye Penetrant Inspection of Various Aircraft/Engine Parts.
 

Battery Shop

Carver Aviation has a well equipped DGCA Approved Battery Shop to carry out Charging, Servicing and Capacity Test of Lead Acid Batteries
Future plans are to undertake the approval for the Capacity Test of Nickel Cadmium Batteries.
 
Avionics Shop
Carver Aviation has a well equipped Avionics Shop with ESDS and sophisticated test bench to Facilitate the Maintenance and Inspection of the Bendix King Auto Pilot Servos like KS 270A, KS 271A, KS 272A and KS 271C, KS 270C & KS 272C and Servo Mounts like KM 275 & KM 277 as stated in the Honeywell Service Memo No: 292.
In the near future Carver Aviation has plans to set up a shop for FTD, NRL facilities for the ELT and a unit for Manufacturing ELT Battery Packs for Pointer 3000 ELTS.

 
Quality Control Division
The Quality Control department coordinates all engineering / maintenance activities as well as serves as the link between the management and the engineering division. It generates and coordinates various levels of Aircraft maintenance tasks to be accomplished based on information from the line maintenance manuals and publications from relevant regulating authorities. It also maintains up to date Aircraft airworthiness records, audits etc and maintains a link with the regulating authority. i.e. DGCA.
 
Procurement and Repair Management
This department basically deals with Aircrafts parts provisioning and repairs. The procurement Department is well stocked with spares for every Aircraft to meet Emergency as well as Scheduled requirements.

Since As Carver Aviation has become a authorized Dealer and Distributer for Flight Design Aircrafts In India Spares Provisioning for the CTLS aircraft has been taken up by us.
