The Engineering Department of ACAPL is approved in Cat C by DGCA for Maintenance of Light Aircrafts.

It comprises of:

1. Line Maintenance
2. Component Overhaul Division
3. Engine Overhaul Division
4. Electrical Overhaul Division
5. Non Destructive Testing
6. Quality Control Division
7. Procurement and Repair Management
 

Line Maintenance
This division is made up of a crack team of qualified and seasonal A& P and Avionics Maintenance Personals. The unit handles scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance activities of our aircrafts such as Daily Inspection prior to flight, transit Checks, Check II, Check III, Check IV, AD/SB incorporation. Our personnel undergo recurrent training to keep them abreast of the latest technologies in the Aircraft Maintenance.
 

Component Overhaul Division
The Component Overhaul Division deals with the overhauling of various Airframes related items like Brake Master Cylinder, Brake Housing, shimmy Dampner, Nose Oleo etc.
 

Engine Overhaul Division
ACAPL has its own Engine Overhauling facility at Baramati which is approved by DGCA, Govt of India. Here the overhauling of engines of aircrafts owned by ACAPL is undertaken as well as engines of other operators in the training field.

The scope of approval for the Engine Overhauling given to us is restricted to Avco-Lycoming Engines.

The Engine Overhauling shop is equipped with the most modern tools, facilities and a ground run up test bench has been set up which tests the overhauled engine on ground.
 
Electrical Overhaul Division
ACAPL’s Electrical overhaul division is approved by DGCA to conduct the Overhauling of the Electrical Equipments fitted on Light Aircrafts. We undertake the overhauling of our own electrical components and that of other operators as well.

At present we undertake the overhauling of the following equipments:
1. Alternators
2. Starter Generators
3. Magnetos
The shop has a separate Test Bench for all these Equipments.
 

Non Destructive Testing Shop
ACAPL has a Non Destructive Testing (NDT shop) which is approved by DGCA to carry out Magnaflux Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection for various Aircraft Components. We are looking to increase the NDT to Ultra sonic and Eddy Current Inspection soon. Inspection of Propellers and other Aircraft parts is also undertaken.
 

Quality Control Division
The Quality Control department coordinates all engineering / maintenance activities as well as serves as the link between the management and the engineering division. It generates and coordinates various levels of Aircraft maintenance tasks to be accomplished based on information from the line maintenance manuals and publications from relevant regulating authorities. It also maintains up to date Aircraft airworthiness records, audits etc and maintains a link with the regulating authority.  i.e. DGCA.
 
Procurement and Repair Management
This department basically deals with Aircrafts part provisioning and repairs. The procurement Department is well stocked with spares for every Aircraft to meet any Emergency needs and Scheduled needs.
